Terms of Service

OutsourceMoose is a directory that helps business owners find virtual assistants, agencies, freelance platforms and other remote service providers. We show listings, reviews and prices, and pass quote requests to the providers you choose or that we match you with.

We are not a party to any agreement you make with a provider. We don't employ providers, supervise their work, hold payments for them or guarantee their results. You decide whom to hire, and the provider alone is responsible for its services.

• You must be at least 18 and use the site for business purposes.
• Give accurate information, including your real name, email address and phone number, and keep it up to date.
• One account per person. Don't create accounts for someone else without their permission, or to get around a suspension.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity in your account; tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.
• We may ask you to verify your email address, phone number or business before you can use some features.

Searching and reading listings is free. A free account unlocks contact details, full pricing, all reviews and quote requests.

When you request a quote or ask to get matched, we send your name, email address, phone number, company and request details to the provider you chose, or to up to three providers we match you with. Only send requests for services you are genuinely considering.

If you list a business, you confirm that you are authorized to represent it and that:

• Your listing, prices, team size, locations and credentials are accurate, and you update them when they change.
• You hold any licenses, registrations and insurance your services require.
• You use contact details from a quote request only to respond to that request. You won't add them to marketing lists, sell or share them, or keep contacting someone who asks you to stop.
• You follow the laws that apply to contacting people, including anti-spam, telemarketing and data protection laws.
• You won't ask business owners to move a job off-platform in order to avoid these Terms, or pay anyone for reviews.

We review new listings before they go live and may edit formatting, decline, suspend or remove a listing that breaks these Terms or that we reasonably believe is misleading.

Providers can pay for sponsored placement and premium profile features. Sponsored listings are always labeled "Sponsored". Payment never changes a provider's rating, reviews, verification badge or organic ranking.

Prices, billing periods and what is included are set out in the order or invoice you accept. Unless that order says otherwise, fees are paid in advance and are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund or we end your placement early without cause, in which case we refund the unused part.

• Only business owner accounts can write reviews, and only about providers they have actually dealt with.
• Reviews must be honest, first-hand and about the provider's services. No reviews of your own business, a competitor, or in exchange for payment, discounts or other rewards.
• Don't include other people's personal information, or content that is abusive, discriminatory or unlawful.
• We moderate every review before it appears and may decline or remove reviews that break these rules. We don't remove a review just because it is negative.

You keep ownership of your review and give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to publish, display and translate it on OutsourceMoose and in search results. Reviews are shown with your first name, last initial and company.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, copy or harvest listings, reviews or contact details, or use bots or automated tools, except search engines that follow our robots.txt.
• Get around sign-in, verification, rate limits, bot checks or other access controls.
• Send spam, fake quote requests or messages unrelated to the services listed.
• Pretend to be someone else, or misrepresent your connection to a business.
• Upload malware, or interfere with or overload the site.
• Use the site for anything unlawful, or to collect data to build a competing directory.

The OutsourceMoose name, logo, design, rankings and site content belong to us or our licensors. You may use the site for your own business needs but may not copy or republish it at scale. Providers keep ownership of their logos and listing content, and give us a license to display them on OutsourceMoose and to promote the directory while the listing is live.

You can close your account at any time by emailing moose@outsourcemoose.com. We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, if you break these Terms, if we need to protect users or the site, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond. The rules on using quote-request contact details, the review and content licenses, the disclaimers, the limits of liability, the indemnity and the governing law still apply after an account is closed.

Listings and reviews come from providers and users. We check new listings and moderate reviews, and a "Verified" badge means we confirmed basic business details when the badge was given. None of this is an endorsement or a guarantee of quality, availability, legal compliance or results. Do your own checks before hiring.

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don't promise the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, or for anything a provider or other user does or fails to do. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud.

If someone makes a claim against us because of your listing, your reviews, your dealings with another user or your breach of these Terms, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including legal fees, to the extent the law allows.

We may change or stop features. If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell account holders by email or on the site before the change takes effect. If you keep using OutsourceMoose after that, the new Terms apply. If you don't agree, you can close your account.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protections the law of your country gives you.
